Jasmine Cries
Jasmine gave her eyes to the slight hint of light peering in. It was enough as she awoke without a flourish of blazing sunlight.
It was without a rustling or clanging, no sudden jolts or sounds to shake her up from the top bunk on this particular morning.
Jasmine felt her senses keenly. She knew to observe what she felt as the elevator lifting, dripping and spinning her insides on this Thursday sparked a tsunami of unfounded fear. This fear drove her to awaken, opening both lids barreled her into a frenzied, frightened state.
She feared that she would never see her family and tears poured forth. These waterways began to flow and Jasmine accepted that she was missing her mother and although she hoped they’d meet again, she feared that this dream was one she may not ever realize -again.
